Guild D-44 (1966)
$2,999
You will not find another D-44 in such good condition! No fretwear, perfect action, still plenty of saddle, no cracks. A bunch of beautiful pick marks on the top. The Pearwood back and sides are a great tone wood and has a little figure to them. The tuners were replaced with chrome Grovers that say “Patent Pending” on them, which means they are from before 1973. The bridge pins have been replaced with age-appropriate pins (the original pins are in the case). The original case is in poor condition, so we are selling it with a brand new Martin case.
Guild only produced this guitar for 5 years from 1965-1969, making this a RARE find. This one was made right before they moved from Hoboken, NJ to Westerly, RI. We would be shocked if you could find another D-44 from Hoboken on the market right now.
The owner of this instrument says he bought it in 1972 from the original owner. He kept incredible care of it for over 50 years.
You need to come play this instrument!
