Gibson ES-300 1947This was the top-of-the-line offering by Gibson in 1947 for electric guitars.The Gibson ES-150 of this period (the late 1940s) was similar but with dark stained maple laminate back & sides, single bound body, unbound neck, dot-inlaid fretboard and screen printed headstock logo (rather than inlaid). The plywood of this instrument has a gentle maple flame and sunburst sides and back.There were no paper labels for these and no serial numbers.
