Gibson CS-356 2004A remarkable evolution of the Gibson design from the ES-335 models: The body size is much smaller and matches the size of a Les Paul. The body is carved out of a solid piece of mahogany and chambered to be as light and resonant as possible. The top is a 2-piece carved figured maple.
