Epiphone OlympicIntroduced in 1931 and discontinued by 1949.Body sizes varied – they grew over the years:1932: 13″1934: 13 5/8″1935: 14 1/2″1936: 15 1/4″The example shown is all original less the pickguard. Epihone appears to have varied their model finishes: changing from a golden brown with a shaded top in 1932 to a brown finish with sunburst in 1935.The pickguard is missing from this example but should have been the small black type.The F holes are cello style though some records say that they appear non-segmented to “F” style in 1939.The neck is one piece mahogany, the sides are solid mahogany but the back is plywood mahogany – pressed to shape.
