About the Series

Art of the Guitar is a new concert series presented by AcousticMusic.Org, Connecticut’s premiere acoustic guitar shop. The series showcases world-class acoustic guitarists in the intimate setting of the historic Chester Meeting House, offering a rare chance to experience their artistry up close.

Sponsored by Wyeth Architects, the series features three exceptional performances: Richard Smith (August 20), Tony McManus (October 2), and Stephen Bennett (December 6). Each artist brings a distinct voice and international acclaim to this curated lineup celebrating the art of acoustic guitar.

Wyeth Architects is a Chester-based firm specializing in energy-efficient design and sustainable buildings across Connecticut and beyond.

AcousticMusic.Org is Connecticut’s premiere acoustic guitar shop, located in a beautifully retrofitted 18th-century tavern in the center of Chester. Featuring sought-after instruments by Collings, Bourgeois, Eastman, Martin, and Gibson—as well as rare museum pieces—it’s a destination for serious players and guitar lovers throughout the region.
